You have been subscribed to a public bug: Ubuntu 7.10 I'am a hard disk with NTFS partition. I use Nautilus to copy files or directory, and the problem appear. If I copy a file to the NTFS partition, the date and the time of the copyed file is changed to the time of the end of copy. The same problem in a USB hard disk NTFS.
This not appear if I copy a file in my home ubuntu (ext3) or in my key USB (fat32). If I move the file in the NTFS partition, the date/time is not changed. This is bug is very annoyng: I'am some OpenOffice files created in Windows, and I want save in my external hard disk. I MUST know when my file is writed. Please correct.
