I've just tested the file attached to this bug (coqspi-sn.pdf) on
Maverick 10.10 (evince 2.32.0-0ubuntu1, libpoppler7 0.14.3-0ubuntu1) and
as Nathan said the problem seems to have been resolved. Print to file
generated a postscript file that was 6.4Mbytes big rather than the
26Mbytes it was previou

The Red Hat bug is somewhat different as I believe they keep more old
kernels around than Ubuntu. A broken resume from hibernate rarely
results in complete data loss as the kernel buffers are usually flushed
before the computer is hibernated. It's about as bad as doing as
resetting after having run

reproduce and this is still here with BOTH compiz and metacity (I do not
believe this is a bug in the window manager as it is being reported by

On Intrepid the dialog window mentioned by Saïvann appears when you
logout using the Log Out button at the top right too (not just with the
user switcher). I think if this behaviour could be coupled with the
ability to bring such programs to the foreground then that would

I've just done some testing with a Hardy Alpha from last week and the
problem has changed a little. Tab focus no longer stops on the
notification area under any circumstances. While this prevents keyboard
focus being swallowed, it also prevents you from interacting with any
notification area applet

This sounds highly unlikely unless the apps sending/receiving the packets are
GUI based. Try watching the output of something like
wget http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily/current/hardy-alternate-i386.iso
while doing

in another window.
