I've just tested the file attached to this bug (coqspi-sn.pdf) on Maverick 10.10 (evince 2.32.0-0ubuntu1, libpoppler7 0.14.3-0ubuntu1) and as Nathan said the problem seems to have been resolved. Print to file generated a postscript file that was 6.4Mbytes big rather than the 26Mbytes it was previously generating on Lucid.
