I added some traces to understand where the problem was coming from, and I
found this: when the problem occurs, the scrollToMousePos() method of the
magnifier can be called while the _xDelayed and _yDelayed variables are
undefined.
This is the case when you enable the magnifier in push mode with
I've tested on completely different system (CSU brand, processor (also
an Intel one though), graphic card (also an Intel one though), monitor,
display size and resolution) : same problem.

There is something else I've noticed about this bug, it only appears
when the push mouse tracking mode is selected before activating the
zoom. If I start in proportional or centered mouse tracking mode, the
switch to the push one, the freeze does not seem to occur.

No I don't. All the tests have been made on fresh installs without any

Thanks for the fix,the error message doesn't appear anymore, the
freezing problem is still present however making the system unusable for
a visually impaired person that need zoom feature like me.

A. key pressed as mode selector
When pressing the shift key, the mouse cursor changes from a hand to a
caret cursor. Next the mouse can be used for selection and automatic
copy like it is currently doing.
B. button mode selector in the toolbar

Ok, then the middle button isn't user friendly. The left button would be
better for that.

I think this delay is too long even when operating on main supply.

In french localization, the menu classify the Brasero application into
the "Son et vidéo" category (translation: sound and video).
However we can also burn office data on disks. I should be classified in
a better category like "gestion de fichier

A 12" mobile computer has a DVD writer and thus is a laptop but not a
netbook.
Thus I need to install Ubuntu desktop edition.

The new 12" notebooks have powerfull processors and thus allows to use
the standard Ubuntu flavor instead of the netbook edition.
However the default 2nd panel is wasting place in height. Moreover, the
new displays are mostly with a 16/10 or 16/9 aspect ratio.
It is boring each new notebook user
