looks like my patch made its way into the master branch [1]. This
should hopefully clarify te problem and help future users.

Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 1:7.7+14
Severity: important
Performed a btrfs subvolume snapshot and upgraded xserver-xorg from 7.7+13 to
7.7+14. Rebooted. Logged-in to xfce4 and right, non-primary, monitor is
dimmer. Also, background/Desktop, images are not showing. The background
is the default
before. But there is a start for everything :)
I will have a look at it.

All I can say is that xfce4 was using monitorDVI-0 and then switched to

Sometimes X doesn't seem to get the release event for the Super L (win

For example, when I type only 't', my windows manager launches a terminal
which it should only launch on SuperL+'t'.
The only thing I can do then is

The output for xev running about 1 second is attached.
Please note that I did not press any key while xev was running.
I hope this helps.

Hi all.
All (or at least, many) of the packages in the pre3v2-series fail to install on
my SID system.
They all fail with errors like this:
-
Preparing to replace xserver-xfree86 4.1.0-2pre3v1 (using
.../xserver-xfree86_4.1.0-2pre3v2_i386.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement xserver-xfree86 ...
downloaded through my poor 28.8 modem connection, and
got everything compiled.
I've tried finding more information on how the loader is supposed to work
(specifically for m68k), but the most recent ELF specification I could find was
1.2 published May 1995. Does anyone have some useful links?
