I just installed slocate 2.4-2potato1, then ran /etc/cron.daily/slocate.
When I try to 'locate latex', I get some output and an error "slocate:
decode_db() aborted. Corrupt database?". Can I fix this somehow?

on Linux it uses
standard mbox format, which means you don't have to convert your mail at
all; mutt (and AFAIK all others) can just use mboxes as Nsc. Just don't
let two programs/processes operate on the same mbox at a time.

Just to mention it, if you've set your editor to vim, "gq" command can
remap text, which works on selected text (visual) or the current line.
M-q in xemacs does the same (here).
