In case anyone's interested, I installed another installment of
instructions for getting TrueType fonts working in Debian.
This version describes how to do it with XFree86 4. It uses the Debian
packages I discovered (or which were added) since my last installment,
which did the same for XFree86 3

is it possible to let inetd handle certain daemons? I would like rlinetd
to control the squid daemon, because rlinetd let you choose if the ports
are visible/usable from the outside world.
Can you let inetd start any program, or do they have to be inetd
programmed?

Reading the fantastic manual; version 2.2.19-2 is a package that has been
packaged for Debian twice (-2). That would also mean that 2.2.19pre17 has
not been packaged yet... or at least is newer.

was not supported under linux.
So, now I have a new ethernet card. It's Cnet PR0200(B). It's not in the
supported hardware list but the bundled disk contains the source of the
driver for linux and a readme

Is there an epplets package for potato out there? I found one for woody
but apt-getting it causes apt to want to remove a bunch of packages

I have a a sort of setup in tex, which allows me to generate my resume
and homepage out of one tex file. It basically creates a print version
and an online version of the resume (or CV).

What are tasks. I found that their are a lot of tasks when I do a
apt-cache search task. I tried installing task-harden on a spare machine
but did not see any thing happening (ie new packages etc...)
Can some one tell me why tasks are used?

The debian-kernel starts fine, but cant mount my root partition,
because its located on a scsi device and the kernel doesnt include SCSI

The file where the configuration of file is written is
at .pinerc in your home directory ... It is easiest to
set up things through the pine Setup options ...
In case you want to set it by hand just edit the lines

Is anyone else having trouble getting the Ati All-In-Wonder 128 Pro
graphics card working with the latest version of Debian usntable? After
a recent dist-upgrade, it stopped working and I don't get any errors.
When I run startx, I either get a blank screen or the monitor shuts off.
