S> Thanks. Is it true that the non system entries in S> /etc/logrotate.conf go to /etc/logrotate.d ? The way I understand the system, it works like this: Each package may install a file in /etc/logrotate.d (normally using the package name) to `hook into' the logrotate service. The file /etc/logrotate.conf would be used primarily for local entries. (This makes life a lot easier for package maintainers.) As it happens, Debian has some log files which do not really belong to a single package (e.g., wtmp and btmp), so they are placed in the general /etc/logrotate.conf file. -- G. ``Iggy'' Geens - ICQ: #64109250 Home: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - Work: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> WWW: http://users.pandora.be/guy.geens/ ``I was thinking about how everyone was dying and maybe it's time to live.'' - Eels
