The file where the configuration of file is written is at .pinerc in your home directory ... It is easiest to set up things through the pine Setup options ...
In case you want to set it by hand just edit the lines in that file. The relevant lines from my .pinerc which gives [EMAIL PROTECTED] in outgoing mail is here: ##[SNIP from .pinerc]################################# # Over-rides your full name from Unix password file.
