I cannot mount a usb-drive in kde (with the tool in the taskbar, you know,
what I mean).
IMO it might be a solution, to delete some cache, but I am not sure, which is
the correct one. To see, what happens, here is my log:

This appears to be a KDE problem. I just mounted the USB stick
successfully under gnome.

I installed Knopppix 3.9 EN into my machine.
In live CD the KDE is working good, but after installation (HDD boot!)
the KDE is not started...
The kdm begun starting, the login is ok, but when the splash screen is

Probably thh problem is that KDE crashed and left behind some files in /tmp
(/tmp/dcop* to be precise). Until these files are deleted KDE will

The 'normal' default for dpkg is "--force-overwrite". This is disabled
in hamm (frozen) currently to make detection of just the sort of error
that you encounted easier to find.
Check the bug list and report if it is not already there. You can use
dpkg --install --force-overwrite or you can go t
