Hi all, I cannot mount a usb-drive in kde (with the tool in the taskbar, you know, what I mean).
IMO it might be a solution, to delete some cache, but I am not sure, which is the correct one. To see, what happens, here is my log: # this happens, when I input my drive: ec 22 20:07:05 localhost kernel: [ 2774.344527] scsi 10:0:0:0: Direct-Access WDC WD25 00BEVT-22A23T0 PQ: 0 ANSI: 2 Dec 22 20:07:05 localhost kernel: [ 2774.346716] sd 10:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg3 type 0 Dec 22 20:07:05 localhost kernel: [ 2774.347767] sd 10:0:0:0: [sdd] 488397168 512-byte logical blocks: (250 GB/232 GiB) Dec 22 20:07:05 localhost kernel: [ 2774.352913] sd 10:0:0:0: [sdd] Write Protect is off Dec 22 20:07:05 localhost kernel: [ 2774.352922] sd 10:0:0:0: [sdd] Mode Sense: 38 00 00 00 Dec 22 20:07:05 localhost kernel: [ 2774.358992] sd 10:0:0:0: [sdd] No Caching mode page present Dec 22 20:07:05 localhost kernel: [ 2774.359000] sd 10:0:0:0: [sdd] Assuming drive cache: write through Dec 22 20:07:05 localhost kernel: [ 2774.367912] sd 10:0:0:0: [sdd] No Caching mode page present Dec 22 20:07:05 localhost kernel: [ 2774.367919] sd 10:0:0:0: [sdd] Assuming drive cache: write through Dec 22 20:07:05 localhost kernel: [ 2774.399691] sdd: sdd1 sdd3 Dec 22 20:07:05 localhost kernel: [ 2774.415907] sd 10:0:0:0: [sdd] No Caching mode page present Dec 22 20:07:05 localhost kernel: [ 2774.415916] sd 10:0:0:0: [sdd] Assuming drive cache: write through Dec 22 20:07:05 localhost kernel: [ 2774.415920] sd 10:0:0:0: [sdd] Attached SCSI disk And this is the output, as soon, i press the "mount" button (or "open with filemanager"): Dec 22 20:07:12 localhost kernel: [ 2781.319662] FAT-fs (sdc1): Directory bread(block 493) failed Dec 22 20:07:12 localhost kernel: [ 2781.319667] FAT-fs (sdc1): Directory bread(block 494) failed Dec 22 20:07:12 localhost kernel: [ 2781.319671] FAT-fs (sdc1): Directory bread(block 495) failed Dec 22 20:07:12 localhost kernel: [ 2781.319675] FAT-fs (sdc1): Directory bread(block 496) failed Dec 22 20:07:12 localhost kernel: [ 2781.319679] FAT-fs (sdc1): Directory bread(block 497) failed Dec 22 20:07:12 localhost kernel: [ 2781.319683] FAT-fs (sdc1): Directory bread(block 498) failed Dec 22 20:07:12 localhost kernel: [ 2781.319687] FAT-fs (sdc1): Directory bread(block 499) failed Dec 22 20:07:12 localhost kernel: [ 2781.319691] FAT-fs (sdc1): Directory bread(block 500) failed Dec 22 20:07:12 localhost kernel: [ 2781.319696] FAT-fs (sdc1): Directory bread(block 501) failed Dec 22 20:07:12 localhost kernel: [ 2781.319699] FAT-fs (sdc1): Directory bread(block 502) failed Dec 22 20:07:12 localhost kernel: [ 2781.319742] FAT-fs (sdc1): FAT read failed (blocknr 1) You see, it wants to mount the wrong device: sdc1 instead of sdd1. Any ideas, what I can do? Or is this a problem with dbus? Thanks for any hints! Best regards Hans -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
