Hello. Probably thh problem is that KDE crashed and left behind some files in /tmp (/tmp/dcop* to be precise). Until these files are deleted KDE will not start. But this is just guessing. To find out, log in as failsafe and type startkde. you will see exactly where the problem occurs Corrin
