Well, the problem with upgrading one or two packages is that you run into
dependencies problems: if you upgrade something simple, but it requires a new
version of a library that isn't quite compatible with an older library that
some other non-upgraded software depends on, you've got problems.
What if you have standard (or slightly patched) 2.2.18 kernel? I downloaded
mol from debian-testing using apt-get, and it doesn't run...I had fun
modifying the source so it would compile, since mol seems to require a 2.4.x

For me, it stops booting at several points: one time it stops at Init:, and
another time it stops at calculating module dependencies. Interestingly, it
does boot (I'm using BootX) if I boot from the extension rather than going
all the way into the Mac OS. However, with this method, I have no sou
Hmm...I'm not too familiar with miboot. I'll work on that. However, someone
suggested that I try to boot from BootX with 'No Video Driver' checked. Sure

YES YES YES! It will work! I have a Voodoo3 Card working on my Beige G3/266.
It willl work! Stop whining. If you are using 2.2.x kernels, you've got to
manually patch the kernel, since the code isn't in there. If you are running

There is also a working XF86Config-4 that should be in the archives, since it
was mailed to me and I used it just fine in an iMac. If not, I'll dig around

Does anyone have any experience with it on PPC?
Thanks for your help!

How did you get it to work? I want to put it in as a plugin into
Konqueror...or are you saying that you just play flash stuff directly? If so,

I've got a problem with my iMac. It's the kind that has the CD ROM tray that
pops out, first of all. The difficulty I'm having right now is that I had it
booting just fine using yaboot, and dual booting, too, since it's at a
school.
