AFAIK yaboot only works with NewWorld-Macs and a boot-menu run by
OpenFirmware doesn´t help because OpenFirmware on this machine is so buggy.

´m running a 604/200 MP in a 7300 and at the moment I´m using miboot
(faked systemfolder)
Last time the 7300 crashed with a 2.4.2 SMP and since then I was not
able to boot any more. The kernel jumps into debugger everytime I try to
boot. This happend during comipile of a new 2.4.6 SMP kernel and a doi
ng to sleep" but before this the TiPB dies.

Maybe it is not a kernel problem, i am running gdm and i upgrade gdm
in the same timeslot. So maybe gdm overwrote a config-parameter?

Since 2.4.2 I was not able to use my 2940U2B (Apple 2940) until 2.4.9.
There was some heavy work done in the AIC74xxx-driver, maybe a new
kernel will help you.

Looks to me that you boot into Linux with BootX.
You have to use miboot or quik to boot a MP Old-World Mac to get both
processors for Linux.

"beige G3" are OldWorld-Macs. OldWorld-Macs can not use yaboot. AFAIK
the oldworld-macs need the Apple-ROMs to initialize the hardware before
the kernel can start the real job.

Well, the card claims to be a mini-pci but it looks nothing like any standard
mini-pci card. I think the Apple Airport Extreme card is the only card you
can put into that slot.
