Yes, some of them are completely supported, other are less supported.

i think that Jvm on Linux is faster than Jvm on Panther, isn't it?
moreover, i think that graphic interface of Panther is slow..

But I think it depend on your window-manager.

Forgive me if this has been dicsussed before. Tux racer used to work just
fine with my old YDL 3 kernel and XFree86 4.3.0.
I have now upgrade to to Ben's latest 2.4.23 kernel and it seems sadly Tux
racer has sloowed way down again.

I think you first have to recompile a patched kernel which can be able
to detect the Radeon card, an then use the Xfree 4.3 packages in
experimental (currently not avaliable due to the instrusion)

cool Powermac 8500 ;P) using linux!?
i've already configured/used video in via PlanB and it works great...
