I've just done an upgrade from a current Sarge install to etch on a
Performa 6360 (with 6500/225 motherboard inside), and the new kernel
that's been installed seems to have problems.

I'm trying to install Debian on a Performa 6360. I

So, when I try to boot, the disk simply ejects.

Hi,
on APUS 3000 Clone (PPC/ Performa 6400) it work fine. I do not know
about your Installation, but with Debian 3.x for PPC you have to choose
the fbdev-server, this is described well in the "howto installation" for
PPC.
Also the problem with the single button on your mouse.

I am wondering how succesful Debian runs on a Performa 6360?
Is this model even considered a power mac?
Will it run an X server?
Audio?
Thanks for any information.

I have just finished installing Debian, and I tried to make it
bootable. I then restarted the machine, and Open Firmware popped up
saying 'CLAIM failed' I looked in the documentation, and it said that
my 6360 can't boot
Ops, no more help is needed. The machine is alive!

Apparently not. All the advice I've had so far says that if you use the display
for output on the 6360, quik won't work.
