Hi,
I intend to try the latest version of wget2. To build it I've created a
fork but it does not build as you can see in Salsa CI[1]. I fiddled
around with some patches for automake but obviously with no success.
Any help would be welcome.
Kind regards
Andreas.

You apparently need libhsts, I tried to workaround that
by disabling it in ./configure call, just to see how

After that there seems to be a gcc-14 problem
with prototype for "fork". Sorry, I stopped at that point, but I guess

A quick follow-up now I have more time. The definition of `struct

Dmitry,
It looks like the Salsa repository does not contain your most recent changes.
When sponsoring packages I like to build from Git. Can you please push them
there?

Dmitry,
debian/source/format lists this package as 3.0 (native). Is Debian the
upstream for this package?
You should delete the debian/compat file as it is deprecated.
In debian/control you should build-depend on "debhelper (= 13)".
You should add "Rules-Requires-Root: no” to debian/control (

Yes, see how gcc-defaults handle the same case.

Dmitry,
Thanks for your quick answers below.
Piuparts fails because of the following:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
cpp-doc : Depends: cpp-14-doc (>= 14.2.0-1~) but it is not installable

Hi!
A small group of Debian Developers are meeting for lunch on Sept 20th

If there are any aspiring Debian Developers/Maintainers here on
debian-mentors@ who live close by and want to join, drop me a message
for details.

Hello, since no answer was provided to Andreas, and his concern is clear,
I commented out in rules file the removal of COPYING file, and then I sponsored
it.
Attached the new Debian tarball.
