Hello, since no answer was provided to Andreas, and his concern is clear,
I commented out in rules file the removal of COPYING file, and then I sponsored 
it.

Building and installing this and the plugins package, it runs just
fine, but going to the about dialog it shows nothing in the license tab,
and gives

in the terminal, which might be due to

Please check it out. Maybe you did intend to reference a system version
of that file there?
