package. And purged it, to learn more about
the 'dpkg-divert' mechanism. It restored the former

BTW: First you mentioned a SanDisk PC Card adapter, now you
mention the Toshiba Card adapter but you never mentioned the
model of the CF card you are using.

in the Kernel and leave it to the PCMCIA package
itself, `make config' for this package will make the right
decision for you. If really doesn't work, enable support in
the Kernel and don't forget to change the driver in
/etc/default/pcmcia.conf then.
