realize that many packages are rather outdated in this "stable" release.
So I tried to find Information on how to install Sarge instead, but
googleing half the day did not give me any hint on how to do so. Please,

After installing
laptop-net_2.7-1_i386.deb
there is no /etc/init.d/laptop-net
thus I can't run
/etc/init.d/laptop-net scheme {name}
as I should be abled to if I want to use that tool.
I did "dpkg-reconfigure laptop-net" and "update-rc.d laptop-net default"

a) modem connected to the Laptop or
b) a modem connected to a gateway which the Laptop connect
