Not apart from my lack
/etc/network/interfaces was my workaround too. My connection was
managed as a systemwide connection by NM. I'm not sure when it comes
up in this case. I guess mediatomb could keep retrying or block on
some signal if one exists in this case.

This can be fixed by simply removing the --prefix part from the
configure call; it seems that LIBDIR is the empty string anyway. I've
done this for Ubuntu. A better fix would be to switch to using haskell-
devscripts for the build.
