dssi needs the ALSA headers to get compiled, but doesn't necesarily
need ALSA itself. There is however the dssialsacompat package
(http://home.jps.net/~musound) which just provides headers suitable for
dssi, for non-linux platforms. Could somebody volunteer to package it?

basically, it does the following.
- Add kfreebsd-i386, kfreebsd-amd64 and hurd-i386 archs (not
automatically enabled for now).
- Add any-i386, any-amd64, any-x86, kfreebsd-any and hurd-any pseudo-archs
- Add an arc
