Why don't we just use UTF-8? I've been using for Greek for more than a
year and it's been much easier (and Greek is a difficult case
anyway). And it solves all

Hi folks,
Nice work on the new Debian installer. It worked great on an install to
a PIII. Unfortunately, I'm having troubles getting it to work with it on
another system. Here's my report:

Hi, I'd like to make a complete list of every X keyboard config for each locale.
I'm certain I miss many entries, but I would appreciate it if you sent me feedback
to make sure that all locales have the correct config. Here is the list so far

At least EUC-JP is the name of the charset in glibc. The other names
are aliases.

You mean "pvscan" (no "a"), I suppose? Well, this command shouldn't
hang.
Before going into the partitioner, open a shell and type the
following:
modprobe dm-mod
modprobe lvm-mod
pvscan -vv -dd
This should give yo

Hi there... I tried sarge and woody cds, then I tried Scott
Kveton's special netinst 2.4 image for Dell servers, which says
that it should support the Dell PowerEdge 400SC.
Every time, it locks up the machine when I try to format the /var

I used to use Debian Woody's boot CD as a rescue CD.
I remember that the 'tar' command supports '-c' parameter in Debian Woody's boot CD,
so that I can use it to backup my files, like the files in '/etc/' or whole '/'.
But I find that the '-c' paramete

The disk partitioning module in debian-installer does not provide the
installer with the ability to specify options for mkfs. This can
result in the need to move files around and/or re-create filesystems
after the installation is complete.
