I have a vacuum gauge on my filter. It makes it pretty obvious when it
is getting clogged. They don't have to be on the filter, you can add a
hose and put one where you can see it in the cockpit.

A vacuum gauge is one of the best cost/benefit ratio improvements you
can do. You can save a lot of $$$ in unneeded filter changes and get
advanced warning when you do need to change one.

Those small EPA approved carbs are about impossible to clean. I would
suggest getting a new carb and if you don't use a ton of dinghy gas, buy
ethanol free gas from somewhere. I fill a gas can with 100 octane from
the airport for my lawnmower and have no issues at all with it :)

backwards from the 35 MK I/II in how the keelbolts are backed up. The

NOTHING though even comes close to mind 70s Sears bottom paint. It kept

anchor. I usually set it out about 100-150 feet from the boat. There is
no way I know of to kedge by throwing an anchor, you have to swim or row

My fuel pressure gauge in finished in chrome and it is getting rusty
around the perimeter. It is not available in a painted black finish like

I used to sail my 35 with a tiller when it was raining until I got an
autopilot. The tiller allowed me to get under the dodger.
I cannot see how the rudder stock would be under any more or less strain than

Those, like about 98% of what you find searching for gel batteries, are really
AGMs of a sort. The charge voltages are WAY off from what a gel uses.
There are 1001 different versions of Chinese batteries to be found for much
less than Deka gels and I really have no idea how good any of them are.

I tried and failed to buy one in Maine, the boat was gorgeous below but seemed
to have hit something at speed ☹

I fill mine at the local CNG station that fills cars for about $2.50 or so.
My insurance company, Progressive, never asked about CNG or anything else.
