We have quite a few new members to our list, and this is a special invitation

One of my vents is having a bushing problem or something (making a screeching
sound). I reached out to Marinco a couple months ago and was advised that the
rebuild kit is no longer made.

I believe the 42 Custom is a different (albeit similar)
design. My understanding is that six were made. One of the owners has been
keeping track of the boats and reached out to me a few years ago. As I
recall one or two are in bad shape, but the rest are going strong.

I have had what I consider reliability issues with the older Nicro and the
newer Nicro day/night vents. Having said that, the latest Nicro/Marinco
seems to be doing well. I replaced the motor in the previous one and have
it as a spare.
My issue with the new Marinco (Nicro) day/night vents is the

Would love to learn more about the 42 Custom if you ever come

Thanks.

It works. 3vdc. The battery is 1.5 I think.
There may be a better choice. Just need to get the motor and shaft
diameters right and the voltage close.

Bill,
I will search my photo file for any photos I may already have and ask the few
relatives (still alive) that lived in Pentwater to see if they have any
pictures from the past. My grandfather sold the fishing boat/business in the
50’s and moved to Florida on doctor’s orders. The hard life o
