Very nice Dennis, you'll be nice and dry in those.
I got a crystal rum glass from Nova Scotian Crystal here in Halifax.
It feels good in your hand and has a nice weight to it.

I believe that's an energy-efficient "block heater." It keeps the engine
warm enough to start on clod mornings. It's the new green alternative.

There was a post on the list over a year ago when someone did something
similar to a 35 (I think). They had to make a split backstay and literally
took a Sawzall to the transom, cutting it down to the level of the sole.
They then finished the opening.
Very cool!

I made a similar cutlass bearing removal tool a few years back out of steel
angle iron.
Even with this tool, I could not pull the cutlass bearing.
To get it out, I had to cut the bearingput a hack saw blade through the
bearing, fasten the saw handle and saw carefully through the length of the

I doubt the transom cut-out did the boat any favours (as I alluded to in my
original post). But the tee modification I doubt would have much impact, if

That narrow cockpit and hopping up and down off the seat was really the only
thing that I wasn’t crazy on when I
