That's what I did three winters ago. Used 1" thick walled PVC pipe and HD poly
tarps. Covered the whole boat for about six months (Nov -Apr) while I
refinished the decks. Worked well.

I can't recall if you have seen my boat under winter cover.
The main reason that I cover my boat at all is so that I can leave the ports
open under the tarp, otherwise I believe it would winter well uncovered.
Open ports guarantees good internal air flow in the absence of a solar vent

You may want to check out Kover Klamps;

They sell a kit consisting of special clamps that allow you to make your own

Also have custom sized tarps available.

Had the same issue a couple years back. In addition to the tired threads
there were small stress cracks so existing threads were never going to be
tight again. My solution, which to date has been effective, was to buy a

Hi Edd...my LF came with a 'sunscreen' that is cheep and easy, but not for
sailing (well, we do leave it up in under 10 knots) or high winds. It is a
piece of Sunbrella that zips onto the dodger on the forward end, and on the aft
end there is a pole with a snap clip that attaches to the back

Martin,
I have used PVC frames and a heavy-duty tarp for several years now (after 5
years, I am on the second tarp). With the mast left in, I run 2 1X4s along the
top of the boom, bolted together just forward of the mast, and rest them on top
of the SS framework of the bimini aft. The 1X4's th

Last summer we lost overboard one of the water tank filler caps. It is
aluminum with an eight pointed star for upending with a winch handle. We are
using a newer plug as a temporary fix, but all the newer filler tubes use and

I'll sell you five for $100,000.00. I'll even throw in a deck, rig,
