Sander,
Just curious. Would the CE label be expensive to acquire on a stripped out
hull? What if the other parts arrived elsewhere in the EU? Could they be
inexpensively added after the CE label was acquired?

This is only the hull, I didn't take pictures of the rest of it.

I think we usually refer to this product as "marine plywood," meaning it has
been constructed with water-resistant glue, and the veneers are often made of
tropical hardwoods.

Yeah I second shipping a boat. Up here in Ontario there are lots of C&C 25s
on the market. Asking price starting is typically around 5k and I bet they
sell for a lot less. I sold my own Mirage 24 (a C&C design) for $3700 and I
was glad to get it.

Have you checked into the cost of shipping in a container? If the prices are

Good call. It would be a good backyard project if you want to rebuild a
boat but have another boat to sail.

Well done, Sander. Sorry if you are disappointed, but it really is the right

I have no experience rebuilding boats. And there's really no point in taking
a boat only to deliver it to a scrapyard.
Of course I'm a bit disappointed, I was looking forward to having something

Advice is worth what you pay for it.
My gut says walk away.
There are so many complete boats for sale right now and "fix'er uppers" litter
boatyards everywhere. I helped a guy fix up an O'Day 24 that took him 6 years
to splash. He got the boat for free and spent $6000 on Interlux two part pain
I would not offer more than $1000 based on your description, and then only if I
really wanted to undertake a project of that
magnitude.
That is about what I estimate you might get for the lead in the keel, plus the
rig, saildrive and other fittings if you scrap the
boat. The fibreglass itself mig
I second Rich's first recommendation. There are lots of boats around going
for peanuts, you don't have to buy a kit boat and spend the next two years
rebuilding it and spending far more money than a good boat would have cost.
Run away.

But, on second thought, I'm approaching your question from an old person's
