Just picking up this thread now... Of course, you can't buy that 25. So what to do?
Yeah, boats are more expensive in Europe, but the good news is that there are loads of them, and many - even smaller ones - are built to bluewater standards. I'd keep looking. Another option, if you really want an adventure, is to pick up an inexpensive 10-12m boat in the Caribbean, book off a month or two to kit it out (say in St. Martin), and then sail it back to Holland (next May/June) That, in my opinion, would get you sailing a whole lot quicker and likely for less money than that c&c 25 would cost you in the long run. And you'd also get a cool trip out of it. My €0.02.
