hose fitted very loosely over it, with too big a gap to seal properly.
So I have a new outlet coming - let's hope it's a tight fit and I also
ordered some Gasoila. Hopefully we will succeed (eventually!).

vent drips.
What gunk do you recommend to put around the head outlet to seal the
connection as I clamp it back down. I don't want to use an adhesive sealer
as I may have to remove the hose sometime in the future to maintain the
joker valve etc.

As a racer on the San Francisco Bay the 1-10-1 rule is definitely
applicable. As a result, when racing I always insist all my crew (me

Being smart - thinking ahead. And race preparation, studying the wind
forecast and knowing what the currents are going to do. The San Francisco
Bay is a very technical race zone.

Oh, and by the way, the J-24 didn't race on Sunday and scored a DNC, the
IOD snapped it's main halyard and scored a DNF, so my 2nd was enough to win
my division. Who says you can't sail a 29 mk 1 in stiff winds!!

Looking at the image, it looks like the entry should be a cheek block and
the sheave appears to be missing. I would remove it and replace it with a
new cheek block.

I had the same problem in my 29-1. I removed the Waler unit and replaced
the flapper valves. Works like a charm now

I would love input from anyone who has experience doing this. I think the
medium profile would look better and still be strong enough to support my
bowman but the ocean series will be an easier job.

The finish is at Kaneohe YC which is a great club to enjoy Hawaii from. A
whole week of festivities leading up to the awards ceremony. We finished
2nd in our division.
