I am contemplating navigating offshore using OpenCPN and connecting it to Iridium GO for offshore route planning. I have various plug-ins including GRIB and Weather Routing.
Has anyone tried this and been successful? I know I can connect using Xgate but that's one extra step - some comments state worth it. But I also know I can't hook up to gmail while using GO! Yes, I can use the Iridium App to get e-mail using their server but.... Anyone got some helpful hints? -- Ian Matthew "Siento el Viento" C&C 29-1 San Francisco Bay
