Did that on a 30 Mk ii a few years ago – centered the opening over the dipstick
and fuel pump areas. Easy to do, being careful to avoid hoses on the other
side. Used a screw in access port about 6” diameter – could have been larger.

Another small point. When I had a diver change the Maxprop zinc it later
fell off because the retaining screws worked out completely. The screws are
a special metric size so ordered new ones ( a buck each). Decided then that
changing zinc during haul out made more sense since I could put a drop of

Have had a similar issue. Increasing difficulty engaging forward but reverse
no problem. Was able to shift easily at the transmission after disconnecting
cable. Thought the swivel (cable to lever connection) was a bit grungy with
rust cleaned that up and lubed, adjusted the cable to move lever an
id instal one flart switch in the sump to run one of
the pumps automatically. I really liked that setup. The pumps stayed high and
dry and there was less stuff in the bilge.

I find that since there is a lift of a few feet to the discharge level the
integral switch causes the pump to spend its time (and my electrical energy)
pumping the same litre or so of water up the discharge hose, waiting for it to
trickle back, repumping it again, and so on. Inserting a backflow
I like the list. Use a separate address for it so regular emails are not
affected. Sometimes a lot of volume but no big deal to delete what is not
