I used to have that same fixed 2 blade prop on my boat years ago. At the time
on flat water I'd get 5.9 @ 2800 RPM. I changed to a 2 blade geared Varifold 15
x 10 and I now get 6.1 @ 2800 on flat water.

Lisle the C&C 30 that your looking at is referred to as the Mark II or 30-2,
great boat I just sold mine after 17 years of ownership. Forward cabin is good
for only 1 adult or 2 children, the aft cabin is very comfortable and 6'10"
long. The 30-2 is a considerably bigger boat than the other two
I read a few issues of this magazine, pretty well shows most of what you
mentioned: cruising, racing, some maintenance articles and a
classified/advertising section. Decent sailing magazine if your local to this
area.

thing to consider is the height of that thru hull, theres a false bottom in the
galley cabinet without much room between it and the thru hull. Add to that the

Lorne, the Lewmar hatches have a "vent mode", you can close them partially and
lock them that way as well. In vent mode you will have just a bit under a 1/2''
gap, no water gets in unless its raining sideways!

My 30-2 has 28 US gallon under the v-berth, 19 US gallon under the starboard
seat, 6 US gallon hot water tank in the cockpit locker for a total of 53 US
gallons. The holding tank is 33 US gallons and it's also in the cockpit locker
just aft of the hot water tank.

Check if its your spinnaker halyard getting caught on the top of your headsail.
Try tying off the unused spin halyard away from the mast to the shrouds before
clipping it to the the mast collar. I had the same issue on my 30-2 before I

Mike, a few years back I installed a new masthead wind transducer and installed
all of my instruments in a Navpod at the helm. I used a stiff electrical fish
and easily got the masthead wire from the mast into the hanging locker in head
within the headliner, shouldn't be too difficult.
...all this to be able to lower and then pull up
both the throttle and transmission cables on the left side of the steering
shaft as described in the Edson instructions.
You will also need to remove the access panel under the pedestal in the aft
cabin.
