Steve, I know your boat and the late previous owner. The name was on there when
he bought the boat and he didn't care for it much either but never did anything
about it.

Thanks all.
I spoke to Greg at Evolution, he was the easiest to speak with out of the three
I phoned. You guys called it, Evolution's price is better than the North Direct
option. Lee came in the highest at $2700.
$2200 for a cross cut dacron 155% with UV cover. I'm happy with that, though I
wasn't planning on buying a sail this year so at any price I'm not thrilled
about spending the money but I'll be happy to have a new sail to enjoy rather
than "getting by" with my old blown sail. I think I'll enjoy the boat a lot
more.
Now! North recommended a 140% with no luff pad. Evolution is recommending a
155% with no luff pad. I'm on board with the no luff pad situation because for
one, Evolution will add it at no penalty a year later if I decide I want it and
two I want the best performance I can get under normal circumstances. Around
here in the summer that means light airs and full sail. Perhaps I can buy a
used #3 in the future to deal with the windier days, it won't get used much.
What do you guys think?!
On another note...
I'm renaming the boat "Suhana". Can you all pronounce that ok in your head? I'm
trying to stick by the easy to recognize and communicate name for VHF. I was
looking for an elegant, feminine yacht kind of name and that's the one that
stuck to the proverbial wall longest. I've had the list going for a year now
and I've gotten sick of all the other options on that list. Current boat name
is Sea Swan, never really cared for it much.
Love this list, thank you all.
