Hi Folks,
I have been out in Ontario for the last few months so I haven't attended
any meeting recently. But I have been reading the posts about, in part,
what the role of CLUG should be. As a relative newbie I have found the
most important functions of CLUG are related to help with difficulties

With OpenSSL and the heartblead bug in the news as no less than their
top story (on CBC at least), the thought comes to mind just how central
OSS software is to not only the internet (which in fact is OSS software

Hello folks, could someone please confirm that there have been no posts on this

You see, posts stopped appearing about 2 1/2 days ago. I was not able to make
posts and a friend of mine was not able to subscribe and now, all of a sudden
this morning, posts resumed showing up and no chat about a down time taking

I feel the disturbance in the force.

Thanks for responding Sam. Just needed to know that I was not going loopy or
something. I interpret your post to mean that it has been working for you?
Aside from that, no need to talk about it I guess?

Sam, I tried to send numerous posts and was not able to. My boyfriend tried to
subscribe so that he could post and got zero back from the servers in response
to his subscription request. No confirmation ever came to his request but we
seem to be getting 'regular' mail in and out as usual.

My girlfriend just let me know she had posts from clug in her inbox again so I
tried to subscribe again and got a confirmation message from the 'mailman' in
seconds. I do believe I know what happened.
My thanks to Sam and Hally

I did have a point where it seemed like I wasn't getting messages...but
only from certain people like Gustin. It turned out they were going to
my Spam folder for some reason...despite me labelling them as Not Spam.
I eventually set up a rule that would have those people go to the
proper folder.
For the record, she is a very smart lady and would not spell her name wrong
four or five times in a row. Her name is actually Hally.

Speaking of Hally, she hasn't had access to receive or send posts for awhile
now. All during my network and net security training, I worked with scenarios
of potential problems, I know what can and cannot do this and its not random or
system problems. To selective.
