My hunch is that it is an RFC2231 parsing problem, quite possibly because of
emails
that aren't fully RFC2231 compliant, though it could of course just be a bug in
clamAV, any samples
of emails with RFC2231 headers would be grateful, especially any that reproduce
the problem.

I used this command:
clamscan -l /var/log/clamav/clamscan.log -d /var/clamav -r /di
I've just installed and although freshclam appears to work clamscan doesn't.
I get the following error:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] kec]# clamscan --debug messages
LibClamAV debug: Loading databases from /var/lib/clamav
LibClamAV debug: Loading /var/lib/clamav/main.cvd
LibClamAV debug: in cli_cvdload()

I can't say much about 0.67, but I know that I'm running the latest CVS
snapshot

Okay, here's the ouput:
#clamscan --debug -v
LibClamAV debug: Loading databases from /usr/local/share/clamav
LibClamAV debug: Loading /usr/local/share/clamav/main.cvd

I downloaded the latest snapshot this morning, clamav-devel-20031105.tar.gz, and
everything compiled and installed fine (Red Hat Linux 8.0).
But, I got an error when I ran clamscan on my quarantine directory.
# clamscan --unzip att-photos.zip-3fa67982.OO
LibClamAV Error: zziplib: directory entry
