Hi,

I'm trying to install clamav into my linux system. I downloaded the tar
files compiled them with no trouble.
I read the docs to setup the config files.
"freshclamav" runs fine, it does updates the databases.
But when I try to run "clamd" I keep getting the following error:

LibClamAV debug: Setting /mnt/disk/clamav/tmp as global temporary
directory
LibClamAV debug: Loading databases from /usr/local/clamav/db
LibClamAV debug: Loading /
LibClamAV debug: cl_loaddb: unknown extension - assuming old database
format
LibClamAV debug: Initializing main node
LibClamAV debug: Initializing trie
LibClamAV debug: Initializing BM tables
LibClamAV debug: in cli_bm_init()
LibClamAV debug: BM: Number of indexes = 63744
LibClamAV Error: Empty database file
LibClamAV Error: Can't load /: Malformed database
LibClamAV debug: cl_loaddbdir(): error loading database /
ERROR: Malformed database

I double check the databases location and names, everything looks just
fine. Permissions also seem to be fine.

It looks like for some reason, LibClamAV is not getting any filename to
open. Or is trying to open a files that does not exists or that some
file other than the databases.

Any help is very much wellcome ...
Thanks in advance,

Paramahansa
