We just started getting the same thing from freshclam. We're using CentOS 5.4, with ClamAV 0.96.3 and bzip2-libs-1.0.3-6.el5_5 running happily since Fri 24 Sep 2010 09:58:15 +0100. At Mon 27 Sep 2010 12:21 +0100 we got an error from our freshclam process LibClamAV Error: cli_dbgets: Line too long for provided buffer The corresponding freshclam log reads: -------------------------------------- Current working dir is /var/lib/clamav Max retries == 3 ClamAV update process started at Mon Sep 27 12:21:01 2010 Using IPv6 aware code Querying current.cvd.clamav.net TTL: 900 Software version from DNS: 0.96.3 main.cvd version from DNS: 52 main.cvd is up to date (version: 52, sigs: 704727, f-level: 44, builder: sven) daily.cvd version from DNS: 12029 daily.cld is up to date (version: 12029, sigs: 131680, f-level: 53, builder: guitar) bytecode.cvd version from DNS: 70 Retrieving http://db.gb.clamav.net/bytecode-70.cdiff Trying to download http://db.gb.clamav.net/bytecode-70. cdiff (IP: 81.91.100.173) Downloading bytecode-70.cdiff [100%] cdiff_apply: Parsed 28 lines and executed 28 commands Properly loaded 14 signatures from new bytecode.cld bytecode.cld updated (version: 70, sigs: 10, f-level: 53, builder: edwin) Database updated (836417 signatures) from db.gb.clamav.net (IP: 81.91.100.173) Clamd successfully notified about the update. -------------------------------------- Looks like a problem in the current update file.
