The solution is probably obvious to many of you, so I apologize in advance
for this question. However, I am having the hardest time trying to restore
files from a Windows server to another Windows server without the files
being hidden. Say I have this scenario:

the files where transferred successfully, the directory was created
but on the windows7 machine i can`t see any files.

There is no problem to restore some files to windows
just make sure that you are backup the dump files of the SQL (i didn't
checked it with live database)
I already make some restores to Windows and there are no problem with it
The only "problem" is that you can't restore the entire windows

when restore, windows host, have other 8.3 filenames for long files,
than was at original filesystem.
Seems order of creation files/dirs matter.
forexample, original host folders - 8.3 names:
Microsoft Office - MICROS~1

I'm not a Windows bacula person, but it seems to me I've seen a lot of
d:\\public\\restored, rather than single forward slash. Can anyone
confirm the proper slash type?
(Backups made the wrong way were a problem at one point too!)

I've been using Backup Exec for years. Once Symantec bought out
Veritas, things have gone decidedly south with the product. A crying
shame. Same thing happened when they acquired Powerquest's product
line of disc

was backed up. Ther is a c:\ and d:\ drive. I created the directory

6.1-RELEASE. I am fairly new to Bacula, and have just configured two Unix

running consistently for several weeks now without issue to a USB2.0

I think the problem is here:
Where = C:/\tmp
replace to
Where = C:/tmp
No backslash is acceptable even restoring to windows file system.

Looked into my daily incrementals (So I don't have to change tapes ;-)
and selected one directory with two files.
The dir was c:/Programme/F-Secure Anti-Virus/Common
I started a restore job using the job ID.
I cd'ed to C:/Programme/F-Secure Anti
