I was using ghettoVCB and direct mount VMFS on a Bacula machine for faster
access.
It had limitations, a lot of them, but work. As soon as BEE got VSP Plugin
a customer switched to it immediately to get proper backup features.

MaximumVolumes set. It is an independent parameter.
Setting both on your pool will allow you to automatically lower the number

This is a case when
your TrueNAS box flames in fire then you will be able to recover all your
data to the new TrueNAS box.

reason to lower file and job retention below
