I have gotten my OS recognizing the Dell PV 132T. Now when I run the command
mtx -f /dev/sg2 status I get the following:
Storage Changer /dev/sg2:1 Drives, 23 Slots ( 0 Import/Export )
Data Transfer Element 0:Full (Unknown Storage Element
Loaded):VolumeTag =
Storage Element 1:Fu
Then how to I get the changer listed? Do I have to mount the device or do
anything special?

I am trying to migrate my bacula system to a newer machine. I have installed
bacula with mysql with no problems. I installed a Dell PV 132 T to this
machine and ran "cat /proc/scsi/scsi" and got the following results:

In the Tips and Suggestion section there is a section where you can run a
script on a remote machine using ssh. The following, in part, is the
instructions.
The authentication is done automatically using a private key. First you have
to generate a keypair. I've done this by:
ssh-keygen -b 4096 -
on a Remote Machine" in the Tips and
Suggestions section of the documentation.
There is one error on that page. Where it says to run ssh -i Bacula_key -l
root "ls -la", it should be ssh -i Bacula_key -l root 192.168.1.1 "ls -la"

That was it. I had to have a file= statement for all mounts mounts. Even
though it still gives you warning, if you have the mount pointed listed, you
are ok.

I have compiled bacula-fd on an HP-UX machine. When I went to run the
director located on a Debian machine I get messages like "/home is a

I also get this message on /opt, /usr, /var, /stand.
It was able to descend into /sbin, /etc.

I decided to reboot and the machine to reload all the hardware. It started

Here is the scenario.
I want to relabel some old tapes. So I put tape 1 in slot 1, tape 2 in slot
2 and tape 3 in slot 3. I open the console and do the following commands.

When trying to mount the PV-122T, I get the following error: 3901 open device
failed: ERR=dev.c:425 Unable to open device "Autochanger" (/dev/nst0):
ERR=Device or resource busy.
The DELL PV-122T Medium Changer tells me I have no attached changer when I
run the command mtx -f /dev/sg0 inquiry, but
OK, how to I do a dump using sqlite?

I just took over a new position and Bacula 1.36.2 is installed using SQLITE.
I want to upgrade to the latest version of Bacula and use MYSQL. Is there a
way to export the data in SQLITE and then important into MYSQL?
What would be the best way to approach this? I have thought of just

Hi.
It would be nice to know the procedures you used to compile HP-UX. I am in
the same situation. I have installed gcc with success. Now, do I get the
src and do a ./configure --with client-only? I am a newbie with bacula and
HP.
TIA

Thanks, I will work on a job for each client and then created the schedule
specifying the levels, pools and storage for the job.
Is that what you meant.
Thanks again,

If I have a job and the status says it is waiting for an appendable volume,
how do I fix this. I had this once before but I can't remember how I fixed
it. I believe the last time I just went to the pool and increased the
amount of Maximum Volumes in the Pool and the reloaded the config file.
Ho
he information you need.
I have another question but I will put that in another thread. I am new to
bacula so your help is kindly appreciated. I have read the documentation
but some of it does not make complete sense. I wish they had more samples.
