assword. I tried to copy as much as
possible from my old machine which does not use dbpassword and my tests
for mysql connect seems to indicate that dbpassword is not needed.
It's definitely not a selinux problem.

I have retired my old desktop and moved my programmes including bacula
to my laptop. Since I have been running bacula successfully for many
years I thought it would be piece of cake to install bacula on this
other box. But it turned out not to be so.

I have a correctly working bacula version 7.4.4 which I installed from
the fedora 24 repository. Bat, however, does not work properly since it
fails restoring files. I have issued a bug report to fedora's bugzilla
to no avail. I should like to build bat separately without having to

I have reported this bug to the fedora bugzilla (#1182722) Jan. 2016
because I use bacula from the fedora repository and it was at some time
suggested by Kern to be a packaging problem. I install this morning
bacula 7.4.2 just to find that the bug was not fixed in this release.

I run bacula 7.4.0 on linux distro fedora 23 and when I run the tray

displays in the bottom of the window: 1999 Authentication failed. It
apparently does not affect the process, tray monitor runs to completion

How do I change the job and file retention values? I've changed the
values in bacula-dir.conf but I also have to change them in the
catalogue and I can't find how to do it with bconsole.

box with client 5.2.10.
I plan to upgrade this windows box to windows 10. Any precautions I
should take for bacula before or after such upgrade?
