I'm running Bacula 2.4.2 off a FreeBSD 7.0 server using a DDS-3 tape drive.
I'm using a Grandfather/father/son tape rotational scheme where I back up
the data and the catalog as two nightly jobs onto a tape each time that it
runs. All is well. Except for the monthly full backup. It will s

The reason for this is that bacula will not be able to backup any
machine other than the director if you use 127.0.0.1 or localhost
anywhere in your configuration files.

Dan,
Thanks for the response. I am unsure at what stage it gets bogged
down. Is there a way to check after the fact? Also, there were many
backups going on at the same time of the failure- around 40. Server

I use bacula 2.4.2 (from debian backports) together with a Iomega

you can mount them on different mountpoints within the Filesystem and
add them as additional Devices to the Pool you're using as Destination
