One method which might be interesting is to jackd and
clients. At that point you've got numerous
applications and meth
Olaf,
Are you sure the firmware patch applies to the 8x8?
I believe it applies to the 2x2 and 4x4 which if I
recall from reading mailing list posts both have the
same chipset. I don't recall the 8x8 being mentioned
as having that same chipset. Am I unaware of somthing?
I also have an 8x8 and so
Hi Mark,
There's a bug reporting script for Ardour, titled bug.
It's in the Ardour CVS. I'm guessing it's worth a look
and that you'd be able to save some time by modifying
it. Ardour uses the GNU licenses, even so it'd
probably be appropriate to ask Paul Davis about using
it if you find it worth

I haven't tried this but maybe alsaplayer which is

I managed to solve my own problem with my previous

Hi,
I've got an MAudio Audiophile 2496 and use the native
alsa ice1712 driver to operate it. I purchased it for
the midi feature but in response to this thread, I
tested playing audio through it with jackd/ardour and
it did not crash. I didn't hook any speakers up but
there's no reason to suspect

Hi,
I'm attempting to configure a multi device with an
rme9652 and an Audiophile 2496. Alsa is 0.9.0beta12
from CVS.
"bash# jackd -R -v -d alsa -d rmeice_dual" produces:
creating alsa driver ...
rmeice_dual|1024|2|48000|swmon
ALSA lib control.c:601:(snd_ctl_open_noupdate) Invalid

Hi,
I've had unresolved symbol issues with Debian,
2.4.18-pre6, and AM's low-latency patch. The
unresolved symbols were not exclusive to alsa. My
solution was; 'make xconfig' and then 'make kpkg'. I
think you'll need to have kernel-package installed. I
don't recall using any flags. It's real simp
This should have been sent to the alsa list, went to
