Folks,
I just upgraded my kernel to 2.4.10. I am Having trouble re-compiling my
alsa drivers. My alsa source is from 0.5.10b. The './configure
--with-cards=rme9652,dummy' works just fine. However a 'make' yields the
following errors:
seq_timer.h:78:: conflicting types for 'timer_t'
Alsa .5 from Suse 7.2 install.
SB Live 5.1 Card.
Can not record, no IRQ conflicts.
Have tried mic input, and Input Gain both set to 100%. Everything unmuted,
mic selected as record source. I can hear mic input through speakers, but
that's it.
Nothing w
I'm using 0.9.0beta8 (because I have a Turtle Beach
Santa Cruz -- CS4630 -- card). I installed the
ALSA stuff because I wanted to use the JAZZ+
sequencer.
I get the following error messages when I start
Jazz:
ioctl: Inappropriate ioctl for device
ioctl: Inappropriate ioctl for device

Capture to 100. Works now.

Hi.
Using alsa 0.9.0 beta 7.
I can't record using regular tools. I'm forced to use arecord, which
isn't fun.
What I'm having problems with is enabling record for Master or PCM...
when I try to enable it in alsamixer nothing happens.
I press Space when having the Master, PCM or Wave channel sel
Hi!
I'm using alsa-0.5.11 for a few months now. Today I tried to install a
new kernel (2.4.10) on my Mandrake-System. Everything works, but not alsa.
At first, at compile time I got the following error a lot of times:
| /usr/src/linux/include/linux/malloc.h:3:2: warning: #warning The

hello everyone,
I have a soundblaster(card-ens-1371) and an rme hammerfall 9652

Hello everyone,
I have the following performance problem,
using "arecord -t raw -c2 -fS16_LE -r48000 file.raw" with my
soundblaster (snd-card-ens1371) I get a CPU usage of ~1%
doing the same with rme hammerfall 9652 gives a CPU usage of ~32%
I am using alsa-090beta6 on Red Hat 7.1 ( P3 1Ghz ).
I know that Alsa support both natively, but is it possible to get a
Yamaha-754 based card to use both the front and rear channels with the OSS
emulation under Alsa?

Hi. Not subscribed to the list, so please reply directly to me.
I am running alsa 0.9.0 beta 7, with a emu10k1 card. I have MIDI fonts
loaded, and I can play MIDI songs without any problems (discounting the
fact that there are no reverb, chorus et cetera!).

Hi,
I changed the power management support routines on the following sound
chips according to the latest PM API:
es1968, maestro3, nm256, cs46xx, intel8x0
The pm code is not fully test yet, so please check whether the
suspend/resume works if you have a notebook with the chip listed
above

Hello,
ok just in case the audiophile + a mixer doesn't make me happy: What
alternatives are there to this card. This is what I want:
- RCA Jacks on the card for analogue input and output
- additional digital input/output
- software gain control
- full alsa support
- 24bit/96khz AD/DA
- about th
