So if a semi wants to park there and they have a nice mobile sat under the
radome, you going to knock on their sleeper and ask if they are watching TV?

Sure. It can be in a designated space. No one parks in the roadway to
sleep.

I see. Well that’s illegal in the parks we manage and security would be
over in a flash.
I’m aware of continental. Which is interesting since OTARD doesn’t apply
to commercial.

Who said anything about the middle of the road?
I think he's think
The issue is many nice tractors with the nice large sleepers have a mobile
satellite under a radome on the back side of the sleeper. You said they
cannot use it. I asked if you are going to bang on their door and ask them
if they were watching TV.

Assuming the metal box is a ped, not the trailer here
If you cut a half wavelength slot in the metal box, cover it with non metallic
tape to keep the bugs out,
Then on the inside of the slot you put a quarter wave probe across the middle
of the slot, you now have a sector antenna.
Might be
Those were the ONLY classes I cared about. Got A’s in all things antenna and
RF.
Got A’s in most of the linear stuff.
Got the B’s in the digital crap that doesn’t matter to anyone (those guys
are called bit freaks)
Got a C- in integral calculus.
