Hi All,
Has anyone seen this strange time behaviour on Linux TSM Server (5.2.4.0)?
I've specified TIMEformat 1 (24hr clock) in the dsmserv.opt, but it

If so, has anyone got a cure for this behaviour?

Under AIX you need a minimum of 1GB memory to instell the ISC.
I suspect that the same is true for Windows...

Hi,
when I register a new node on the TSM server (AIX v5.3.2.3
Justin,
I don't think the model is the issue. The issue is, is the machine suitable for
your needs. For Intel based systems I would go for the following:
Intel Xeon 3.0 GHz or better (or equal AMD).
Min. 2GB internal memory (add another 1-2GB if you run ISC on the same system).
Depending on yo
Corey,
IMHO I would certainly go for the pSeries. It's much more flexible and
powerfull than the Intel based boxes.
If you must go for the Intel box, I would choose Linux (RedHat or SuSe) as the
OS.
I've done lost of TSM Servers and the ones running on RS/6000 and pSeries
always come out on
gards,
Richard van Denzel.

Because there are already 5 volumes used (which where original scratch volumes
I think) and so you have reached the limit of max 5 scratch volumes.

The resulting line on AIX should look something like this (works for me
anyway):
dsmsrv:2:once:/usr/tivoli/tsm/server/bin/rc.adsmserv
>/var/tsm/tsmserv.log 2>&1
It's probably a good idea to let this be the last line in /etc/inittab.

Hi Zareyna,
Like Ian said go back to the 6.0.8.2 driver. If you look through the
README's of the later drivers you will find that they are build for the
new TS-series libraries.
