Andrew,

I hope you'll agree that the requirements for ISC/AC are ludicrous, we
were better of with the old webadmin, without all the new "functionality".
If people want to use ISC/AC for managing other apps like Notes etc. fine,
but leave us guys which only have to manage TSM servers the old webadmin.

I've got quite a lot of small cust. with only a relatively small TSM
environment and I'll convince them to bulk up, just to be able to run TSM
5.3. They'll never need all the new "functionality" (yikes, that sounds
like MS explaining new Office "functionality" you'll never need).
So IMHO I think there's a lot of work cut out for IBM in order to get a
decent 5.3 on the market.

Richard.

The Admin Center is more of a server app than desktop app; it is not
intended that every TSM administrator run their own instance of ISC/Admin
Center. XP may be fine as a desktop machine, but for running server
applications, most XP systems probably do not have adequate resources (and
XP itself isn't really designed to act as a server). XP workstations can
access the TSM Admin Center via web browser, so I'm not sure I understand
why this by itself would be a show-stopper. (For what it is worth, the
Admin Center is supported on the same Windows OSes as the TSM server.)

Andy
