Theoretically, the E1A can read B1A-produced tapes.
The first time a 128 track tape is written to by an E1A it is converted to 256 track
format (Hmmm what about appends - I suppose it's intelligent)

want to back-up. A the moment your domain specs include the filespace you
want to get rid of. Your exclude excludes only the data on the filespace,
not the filespace.

I would run an AUDIT LIBRARY blah CHECKLBAEL=barcode when your
drives are not in use and then look at actlog and see what changes occur.
This will generally clear these problems.

If you want to do your FILE backups in parallel with TAPE dbb backups, you

1) EXPORT the nodes and specify FILEDATA=ARCHIVE
That will put just the archive data on a tape.
2) Run DELETE FILESPACE for everyfile space and specify TYPE=ARCHIVE.
That will get rid of the archive data from the tape pool

If you are using TDP and have the threads set to 4 then with the archive
logs it will write to 4 tapes and not necessarily join to one tape later.
If they have 8 copies then you could potentially have 8 copies of 4 tapes.

%tim_act certainly is a really bad thing and indicates a problem.
If you have 88 DB volumes, I think that means TSM can in theory start up to
88 I/Os to the DB, which could certainly cause excessive head thrashing.

I've done an upgrade from 4.1.3 to 4.2.0.0 and them 4.2.1.6. If I remember
well, in the readme it's says that the 4.2.1.6 have to be apply on a 4.2.0.0
(at least). Take care that licence file are only include in the 4.2.0.0

We've had this error on a WinNT SP5 box ever since we upgraded the client to 4.1.3.
It's not the actual filename that is long but the whole directory structure which has
10 levels and over 200 characters. The server is 4.1.3 on AIX 4.3.3. We get this error
both in the client schedlog and

They do not support the K tapes. Upgrade to 3590E1A for that support and
