We have a separate domain for each of the teams that manage the nodes. The
individuals in the teams get rights to their specific domain only. So, when
they register a new node, they can only do so in the domain they have rights

Of course, if you just want a point-in-time snapshot of the current data while

If you are happy with the size of the db volumes, simply create new
mirror volumes for your existing volumes. Define the mirrors and once
the mirrors are in sync (q dbvol f=d), delete the original volumes.

Hello,
Does anybody know if a single TSM server can listen on different ip-adresses
(on different nic's) ? Or do
! I cannot imagine what it's going to be like when it
comes time for 4.2 (if a version is available for the 3466)!!

To all,
I'm wondering how others are monitoring their nightly backups for

We NAT'ted out TSM server and we perform backups via the firewall. When we
did this we only allowed the TSM TCP/IP ports to talk through the
firewall.

Try this script. It'll create a log called daily.log in the $LOG
directory. This log
ript as a cron entry and you're done. Hope this does it for
you.

I was wondering if someone can help answer a question. First of all, I am
not an HP-guru person, but I was told to find out if TSM can backup HP
3000 systems running MPE XL. If not, how do these get handled?
